and My Mission Statement

About Evolutionary Astrology

Evolutionary astrology holds central our freewill in responding to each of our unique life experiences and that through self study, awareness and compassion we can make choices that guide us closer to our true purpose and expression of our souls in this incarnation. It gives us the perspective and understanding that we have freewill and choice in determining our own outcomes to what fate and destiny present us with.

One of the things that can be daunting when considering whether to explore yourself through the lens of astrology is the the idea that something scary will be predicted in your future. Whether we invest in knowing ourselves through astrology or not, our lives are a symphony of highs and lows, quiet and loud parts. Sections which sound pleasant and some which rather annoy us. By aiding yourself with an understanding of yourself and your life through astrology we can begin to appreciate, in an objective and neutral way, some of the patterns of reaction that lead us to certain repeated experiences or outcomes. We can see ourselves described through the symbolic language of planets and signs and suddenly the personal becomes both less and more so. This is one of the alchemical actions of astrology.

When we begin to have this understanding of ourselves, we can begin to ask and answer “Given my unique astrological composition, what would be a reaction to my inner being or external events that supports me in my truest expression and which are diversions or avenues to more baser expressions of my makeup?”.

Those I am drawn to work with often have some experience of themselves as obsessive, addictive, compulsive and even at times divisive human beings. They have powerful abilities and effects on the world around them which unless channelled in constructive positive ways can become destructive to themselves and other people. Unless they have a view of themselves informed by something bigger (try our universe!) and more ancient (the use astrology is recorded 4,000 years ago) than themselves, they can become lost in others views of them and mislead by the distorting effect our our current our culture and society.

My astrology practise has been greatly informed by the work and teachings of evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest who I have studied with twice in person at week long teaching sessions at Omega Institute of Holistic Studies. I am also informed by fellow evolutionary astrologer Jeffrey Wolfe Greene and his studies and teaching of Pluto. The works of Barbara Hand-Clow and Liz Greene are also a source of guidance and inspiration.

My Mission Statement: Why do you do what you do?

To see ourselves as the sky does, to understand the threads and textures of the archetypes we are composed of as described by our astrology, connects us in all our uniqueness to the oneness and the great cosmic order we are a part of.

In a world where we are conditioned to believe that material is inert and all there is, that chance is the law and that the Earth is a rock for us to mine, it is a radical and essential paradigm shift to begin to see ourselves as purposeful and intentional offspring of our planet who have each certain talents and gifts we are destined to share during our time on Gaia.

It is both intensely humbling and meaningful to strive to grasp what we are and to wonder the ultimate causes of our existence “Why am I here?”.

I particularly love working with people who are avid observers of the natural world, artists, communicators, deep thinkers.

  • Those are committed to seeing themselves as a beneficial part of our environment as demonstrated by our intentions and the actions that result from them.

  • Those passionate individuals who feel the world intensely and have at times been confused how to be compassionate to their own sensitivity and wonder how to channel it as a strength rather than the weakness we have been conditioned to see it as.

  • Those who feel that learning can always help a situation.

  • Those who feel at home in the natural world and sometimes struggle to feel at home in the human world.

  • Those who have something to say but wonder how to say it so it is heard.

  • Those who seek to connect into a reality that is more wonderful, expansive and meaningful than the one we have been offered by standard society.

  • Those who experience death of a loved on as a portal to another new kind of relationship with that soul.

  • Those who observe and find meaning in analysing time to discover that our experience is a very helpful messenger.

  • Those who are curious by nature and want to explore how far their curiosities can take them.

  • Those who long to explore their relationships with a new perspective through the guidance of the cosmos.

  • Those who love stories and have found their lives changed by reading a book.
